The drone delivery company has recently expanded to serve new use cases like retail deliveries with Walmart

Drone delivery company Zipline has hit a million drone deliveries, and simultaneously announced that two quick-service restaurant chains will deploy the tech.

Panera Bread and Jet’s Pizza will both soon begin fulfilling online delivery orders with Zipline drones in select markets. The company will also start making deliveries for southeast Texas not-for-profit Memorial Hermann Health System. The drone delivery company has also recently expanded to serve new use cases like retail deliveries with Walmart.

In the U.S., Zipline’s most frequently delivered items are fresh produce, while internationally they are child nutrition and vaccines.

Zipline is quickly scaling in the U.S., and in the coming quarters the company said it plans to begin rolling out P2, which is expected to serve more than 30 million people in 10 states within the United States over the next few years.
