Expanding Famima Chain Selects StoreNext Store Systems
TORRANCE, Calif. - Famima Corp. here, a subsidiary of Japanese convenience store giant Family Mart, has selected StoreNext Retail Technologies, Plano, Texas, to provide Fujitsu POS hardware, Epson multi-function printers, consulting services, and POS and enterprise software, StoreNext announced yesterday. Famima operates nine upscale food stores in the Los Angeles area and plans to expand to 20 stores in California by the end of this year and more than 250 stores across the U.S. by 2009, according to Shiro Inoue, president and chief executive officer of Famima Corp. "StoreNext and Fujitsu offered the best combination of hardware, software and services to meet our current needs, and they will play a vital role as we continue to open additional stores across the country," Inoue said in a statement. The rollout includes Fujitsu TeamPoS 2000M POS and iPAD mobile computing hardware as platforms for pre-integrated StoreNext ISS45 POS and PocketOffice mobile applications.Subscribe / Renew to Supermarket News
