Former Sen. Frist to Speak at NACDS Pharmacy Technology Conference

ALEXANDRIA, Va. — The National Association of Chain Drug Stores reported yesterday that former U.S. Sen. William Frist will speak at the NACDS Pharmacy & Technology Conference, Sunday, Aug. 11, in Boston. Frist, with experience as a physician, general surgeon and heart surgeon, is now out of office but has dedicated himself to the development of a plan to increase health care affordability and availability in America, the association said. Other areas in which he has been active include Medicare, public health, affordable access to prescription drugs for seniors, children's health, and what he considers to be an overall disparity within the health care system.
