GS1 Group Working on a Standard Performance Scorecard

RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. — A group within Brussels-based GS1 called Trading Partner Performance Management (TPPM) is working to develop a standard performance scorecard for the industry, according to Ann Dozier, vice president, strategic industry initiatives, Coca-Cola. The scorecard will be used by retailers and suppliers to rank performance in fulfilling supply chain tasks. “This will be beneficial for retailers who would like to have a consistent discussion on performance measures with all of their many suppliers,” she said. Coke will benefit from having consistent performance measures for its 76 bottlers in North America. Dozier mentioned this initiative during a presentation here this week at the Food Marketing Institute’s Supply Chain Conference. The conference was held jointly with the Grocery Manufacturers Association’s Information Systems/Logistics Distribution Conference.
