MINNEAPOLIS — Following a 15-store pilot earlier this year, Supervalu here is installing kiosks from Customer-Facing Media at all of its 74 corporate and independent Cub Foods stores, according to Glenn Lindgren, marketing manager, Customer-Facing Media, Edina, Minn. Currently in 35-40 Cub stores, the kiosks will be fully rolled out by the end of September, Lindgren said. Each store will house three kiosks, located in the meat, produce and deli/bakery departments. Following the Cub installation, Supervalu will deploy the kiosks in 543 Supervalu-supplied independents, he said. The kiosks provide meal-planning ideas and recipes and dispense manufacturer coupons. “Each week, the kiosks have an editorial feature with new recipes,” said Lindgren. Retailers pay no fee for the kiosks, which are funded by participating manufacturers, with retailers earning a fee for each coupon printed.
