Spartan Stores to Implement Computer-Based Store Ordering

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Spartan Stores will use SAF SuperStore interfaced with SofTechnics CT2020 for its computer-generated store ordering needs, SAF USA, Dallas, announced this week. The announcement was made at the Food Marketing Institute Show/Marketechnics in Chicago. Spartan Stores has been collaborating with SAF and SofTechnics on this automated store ordering initiative for several months, and plans to roll out the solution to 60 of its retail stores. "We anticipate achieving reduced out of stocks, fewer lost sales, increased revenue, optimized inventory and a high return on investment with SAF SuperStore," said Dave Couch, vice president information technology, Spartan Stores, in a statement.
