Sunflower Deploys Two-Sided Receipt Printer

BOULDER, Colo. — In support of its sustainability initiatives, Sunflower Farmers Markets here is deploying a two-sided receipt printer from NCR at its checkout lanes as part of a new POS solution. The printer handles simultaneous printing on both sides of a thermal paper receipt, reducing paper consumption by up to 40%, said NCR, Dayton, Ohio. "NCR two-sided receipt printing supports our green initiatives by helping us reduce waste and energy consumption while also providing us with the benefits of a best-in-class, innovative and efficient POS printing solution," said Colein Whicher, marketing director for 14-unit Sunflower Farmers Markets, in a statement. Sunflower’s new POS solution also includes NCR’s RealPOS 80 workstation, RealScan 78 OFX bi-optic scanner/scale and Systemedia two-sided thermal receipt paper rolls. Southwest Point of Sale, San Diego, is responsible for the sale, installation and maintenance of the solution.
