Wild Oats Posts Tips on Environmentally Friendly Shopping
BOULDER, Colo. -- This month, in honor of Earth Day and Earth Month, Wild Oats Markets here is posting shelf-talkers in all stores to help customers identify eco-friendly items and educate them on making environmentally conscious changes. The tips include reusing and recycling more, buying organic, cleaning with environmentally friendly products and buying in bulk. For example, the chain is suggesting shoppers reuse shopping bags, as well as switch to reusable canvas bags. By buying certified organic products, the company said in a statement, “consumers are showing support for organic farmers and sustainable practices that help build healthy soil and a healthier planet.” Consumers should also look for products that have reduced packaging or no packaging, such as foods from the bulk foods aisles, Wild Oats said.Subscribe / Renew to Supermarket News
