LAKELAND, Fla. — Consumers and a local guide dog organization will benefit from a new Publix Super Markets Facebook promo.
All those who submit a photo of their cat or dog are automatically entered to win one of eight $500 Publix gift cards. The winners will be rated in eight categories, including best vacation photo and best action shot.
Contestants must “like” the Publix Facebook page to enter the “Publix Paws Poster Pet Contest.”

All entries will be posted on the Publix Facebook page and rated by the retailer’s Facebook friends. For each entry and entry rating, Publix will donate $1 to Southeastern Guide Dogs, a Palmetto, Fla.-based organization that provides guide dogs for blind men and women.
The promotion runs through Oct. 2.
