Target Plans New Grocery Ads: Report

MINNEAPOLIS — Target Corp. here is rolling out eight new TV ads that will give its grocery and home goods a tongue-in-cheek, high-end fashion spin, according to reports.

The campaign, created by ad agency Mono, also based here, will also include radio ads and short digital movies posted online, according a report in the Huffington Post on Friday.

Target could not be reached for comment. A message on Mono’s website said the company could yet yet display its work for Target because the ads had not yet launched.

One ad, shown below, features exploding boxes of cake mix and a model crushing an egg, with the whispered voiceover, “Dominate that PTA bake sale.”
