Kroger exploring home delivery options 


Kroger is scheduled to acquire 151 stores from Roundy’s, Milwaukee, prior to the end of the fiscal year, which will add approximately $3.9 billion to its volume. Prior to completion of that transaction, Kroger operated 3,732 stores: 2,623 supermarkets and multi-department stores (of which 1,330 have fuel centers), which accounted for approximately 93% of total sales; 783 convenience stores (including 78 operated by franchisees), which accounted for approximately 5% of sales; and 326 fine jewelry stores, which accounted for approximately 0.5%. Sales of manufactured goods to outside customers accounted for approximately 1.5%.
