Stores here has named Jim Antz to the newly created post of vice president for information systems. Harps also named Frank Ray to vice president of human resources, Mike Thurow to vice president of store systems and Ray Stuckey to the post of vice president and controller.

Antz has been working as head of the management information systems department at Harps since 1987. He is responsible for overseeing service and growth to Harps' information systems department.

Ray, who has worked at Harps for 14 years, has served as store manager, district manager and human resources director. He fills the position vacated by Harlon Earp, who became vice president of operations in February 1998.

Thurow, who has worked with Harps since 1983, will oversee the company's critical systems work in the store, as well as the selection and implementation of new store software. Stuckey has been working in Harps' accounting department since 1985. Both of these posts are also newly created positions.

All four executives report directly to Roger Collins, executive vice president and chief financial officer at Harps Food Stores.
