HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. - Sears Holdings here is planning to convert all of its Sears Essentials stores to the Sears Grand format.
features traditional Sears offerings plus a convenience food-and-drug section that includes snacks, beverages, dry groceries like pastas and canned soups, milk, lunch meats, frozen entrees and ice cream.
Sears currently has 50 Essentials stores, which had been converted from Kmarts. The company previously had said it planned to remake 400 Kmarts into the Essentials banner by next year.
