AWG Plans New Headquarters

KANSAS CITY, Kan. — Associated Wholesale Grocers here is set to begin construction of a new corporate headquarters at the site of its warehouse here, city officials said.

The 35,000-square-foot facility will house company executives and 92 employees, according to a release from the Kansas Department of Commerce, adding that Wyandotte County would provide $6.5 million in industrial revenue bonds for the project.

“AWG has been part of our community for 40 years and we’re excited about the announcement of this expansion and additional investment in Kansas City, Kan.,” George Brajkovic, property manager for the Unified Government of Wyandotte County, said in a statement.
