UFCW Ratifies Chief Super Market Contract

DAYTON, Ohio — United Food and Commercial Workers Union Local 75 here said this week it has ratified a new two-year agreement with Chief Super Markets, Defiance, Ohio.

According to the union's website, the new agreement combines six contracts and seven health care plans into a single contract with fewer plan designs. Union representatives could not be reached for comment.

Chief operates 12 supermarkets — eight under the Chief Super Market banner and four under the Rays Super Market banner. The contract covers more than 800 workers at the 12 stores.
