Big Y Taps Floral Sales Manager
Foods here has named Lauree Lincoln floral sales manager, a new position.
She will be responsible for sales, procurement, merchandising, training and operations for all Big Y floral departments. Big Y is planning the expansion of its floral departments.
Lincoln will report to Russ MacLean, director of produce.
She has been working in the supermarket floral industry for almost 20 years. Previously, she was floral director for Waldbaum's Food Mart, Springfield, Mass.
Big Y Foods operates 30 supermarkets in Massachusetts and Connecticut.
Del Monte Names Casazza VP
CORAL GABLES, Fla. -- Del Monte Fresh Produce Co. here has named Mike Casazza vice president of sales for its Western division.
He is filling a position that has been empty for nearly a year. Casazza will report to Michael Pereira, vice president of sales and marketing. Previously, Casazza was food-service sales manager for the company's Western division. He has been with Del Monte for three years.
C.H. Robinson Adds 2 to Sales
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- C.H. Robinson Co. here has added two people to its national produce sales team.
Dayna Bobick is a sales representative whose duties include marketing products and retail and food-service programs. Previously, she worked in sales and customer service at Nestle U.S.A.
Kevin Meguire will be working with growers as produce merchandiser. Previously, he was produce manager at C.H. Robinson's Dallas branch.
Both will report to Mike Rempe, director of produce merchandising.
C.H. Robinson Co. is an international produce procurement and distribution company.
Seald-Sweet Appoints Manager
VERO BEACH, Fla. -- Seald-Sweet Growers here has named Jason D. Turner regional sales manager, a new position.
Turner is responsible for marketing Louisiana sweet potatoes to wholesale and retail customers throughout North America. This is the first season Seald-Sweet has marketed the potatoes. Turner will report to Thomas Cowan, vice president of market development.
Previously, Turner was a quality control inspector for Seald-Sweet Growers.
Seald-Sweet Growers, founded in 1909, markets citrus and other fresh produce in North America, Japan, Taiwan and Europe.
