Archibald Names President

andy here, manufacturer of Fannie May and Fanny Farmer brand candies, has named Ted Shepherd president and chief operating officer.

Shepherd, most recently vice president of sales and marketing, moves into a position vacant since Richard Peritz retired from the company about two years ago.

Shepherd reports to Tom Quinn, chairman and chief executive officer of Archibald and president and chief operating officer of Jordan Industries, parent company of Archibald.

Favorite Brands Adds Sales VP

LINCOLNSHIRE, Ill. -- Favorite Brands International here has named Edward Fickers vice president of sales, a new position.

Fickers reports directly to Mike Westhusing, senior vice president of marketing and sales.

Favorite Brands was formed last year when an investment group purchased the marshmallow and caramel business of Kraft Foods, Northfield, Ill.

Sathers Adds Two New Executives

ROUND LAKE, Minn. -- Sathers here has appointed Greg Ruf category manager, a new position, and Brian Weatherford account executive.

Ruf is responsible for the management of the company's general candy line and reports directly to Mike Halverson, director of marketing. He comes to Sathers from Novagas Clearinghouse, Winnipeg, Manitoba, where he was Western sales manager.

Weatherford succeeds Diane Barker, who left the company. He reports to Chris Rasmussen, Western region district manager. Before joining Sathers, Weatherford was regional sales manager at Harvey Universal, Torrance, Calif.

Perugina Taps Sales Manager

SADDLE BROOK, N.J. -- Lewis Gallagher has been appointed to the new position of Southeast sales manager at Perugina Brands of America here.
