MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. -- Giant Super Markets here has completed the sale of 19 of its 21 stores to a variety of buyers.

. When Roundy's, Pewaukee, Wis., purchased Bay City's wholesale volume last spring, the Giant units were put up for sale by Robert Koffman, the majority owner of both Giant and Bay City.

Roundy's will supply the former Giant units under their new ownerships.

Meanwhile, one unit has been closed, and a 65,000-square-foot store in Midland, Mich., is still operating. David Walton, Giant president, was not sure last week whether that location will be sold.

The sale of the Giant units were executed as follows: six to Kessel Food Markets, Flint, Mich.; six to Michael McGee, Giant's former vice president, who will operate them as Michael's Markets; three to Glen's Markets, Gaylord, Mich., and one each to Denny's Markets, Big Rapids, Mich.; Ric's Food Center here; Tom's Food Markets, Traverse, Mich., and Witbeck Markets, Clare, Mich.

The Giant stores ranged from 12,000 square feet to 65,000 square feet and included 10 combination stores.
