What’s the most rewarding aspect of your job?
Over the years, we’ve heard from individuals who’ve made our meats a part of their special life events and celebrations—courtship, weddings, birthdays, birth events. This is the most fulfilling for us: to know that the food we make is chosen by others to help them mark and create memorable occasions.
What inspires your leadership approach?
Appreciation of and respect for special ingredients and where they come from, as well as respect for individuals, honesty, integrity, dedication and fun.
What do you value most about being a part of the grocery business?
Many people in the grocery business are inspired by a desire to share great food and warm hospitality. Those are values that motivate me, and I love being around people who show dedication and commitment to those values hour after hour and day after day.
Favorite food?
Cured meats.
