GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Spartan Stores’ D&W Fresh Markets banner has teamed with a Kalamazoo restaurant for a joint wine tasting, according to a published report. The “25 Wines for $25” event will be held at Charlie Foster’s next Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. D&W wine buyer/merchandiser Rosalind Mayberry was unavailable for comment.
The tasting will feature five tables, each offering samples of five wines, according to the report. Wines will be grouped into themes like “Not Your Usual Whites” or “Wines From Below the Equator,” it stated. Charlie Foster’s will provide a buffet including Cajun-crusted calamari, Moroccan-spiced scallops and Thai chili shrimp.
D&W highlights wine in other ways, including via its annual food and wine symposium, called “Food, Wine and All That Jazz.”
