NEW YORK -- KidFresh, a concept targeting kids with its fresh, healthy prepared foods, opened earlier this month in Manhattan and has seen above-forecasted sales every day since, officials said. Chief Marketing Officer Gilles Deloux, one of the co-founders, told SN parents are already asking when KidFresh is going to open sites in other parts of the city. Everything is prepared in the store‘s open kitchen by a chef. Boxed breakfasts, lunches, dinners and snacks are offered. Lunch prices are $6.75 and up, and dinner prices, which consist of just an entree and a side, suitable for reheating at home, are $5.95 and $6.95. The menu is mostly made up of kid favorites like chicken tenders and macaroni and cheese, but the fare is all natural. No preservatives, artificial ingredients, or trans fats are used, and most of the ingredients are organic. -- Roseanne Harper
