ALEXANDRIA, Va. — The National Association of Convenience Stores here said last week it has hired Julie Fields as its new government relations manager. She most recently was special assistant to the policy director of the Energy and Commerce Committee in the U.S. House of Representatives. In her new post, Fields will coordinate grass-roots government relations outreach campaigns; help manage NACSPAC, the association's political action committee, and strengthen the association's effectiveness in representing the convenience and petroleum retailing industries on Capitol Hill.
