EDINA, Minn. — A Valentine’s Day promotion at Lund Food Holdings connects its signature tiramisu to a children’s wellness program.
Between now and Feb. 14, all proceeds (up to $10,000) from its refrigerated tiramisu will benefit Children’s HeartLink. The tiramisu sells for $5.99 and serves two people.
Children’s HeartLink, Minneapolis, is a nonprofit that partners with health care centers in underserved regions to strengthen their ability to diagnose and treat heart disease in children.
“This Valentine’s Day, as you celebrate with the ones you love, join us in celebrating the lives of children around the world,” Lund states on its website.
Shoppers can also make a donation to Children’s HeartLink with cashiers at checkout.
The retailer will provide free samples of the dessert on Sunday, Feb. 11, from noon to 1 p.m. at all stores.
Along with Lund, other sponsors include Pepsi Bottling Group, Caribou Coffee, Frito-Lay, Malt-O-Meal and Star Tribune.
