The layout of Costco’s store in Atlanta is one of the “most modern” for the retailer, according to produce buyer Frank Padilla. The store features extensive perishables departments, packaged and frozen foods, as well as general merchandise and other services.
The meat department highlights Costco’s Kirkland Signature brand as well as USDA Choice beef.
Kirkland Signature offers organic options.
This location also includes a sizeable kosher meat selection.
Loose produce is merchandised in boxes and palettes. Many packaged items that need to be kept cold are displayed in a separate walk-in refrigerated room.
Value added produce like cut fruit is also for sale.
This walk-in dairy cooler was formerly the produce cooler until the produce department outgrew the space.
Costco’s bakery sells ready-made sheet cakes for special occasions.
Customers can pick up a bouquet as they shop.
The store includes a large wine department.
There are multiple frozen food aisles.
Costco’s deli features take home meals like chicken and pizza.
At the food court, customers can order fresh meals and snacks to go or to eat in the store.
Padilla said this location has “all the bells and whistles,” including a pharmacy, optical center and gas pumps.
