This week’s United Fresh 2018 conference and expo in Chicago underscored how fresh vegetables and fruit are top of mind with consumers, retailers and producers. Standing out on the show floor were convenience packaging, meal and snack solutions, and other innovative ways to get fresh produce into Americans’ diets. The event also included an appearance by U.S. Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue.
