SUNBURY, Pa. — Weis Markets on Monday said Shirl Stroeing has joined the company as vice president, chief information officer.
Stroeing (pictured at right) has more than 20 years of experience in retail information technology and 
store support services, including 13 years of senior management experience. She most recently was vice president, service management and operations support for Supervalu, Minneapolis.
At Weis, Stroeing will oversee the company’s information technology functions, partnering with its business leaders to deliver innovative technology solutions to Weis’s stores, distribution center, manufacturing facilities and store support center. She succeeds Bob Mawyer, who left the company earlier this year. She reports to Scott Frost, Weis Markets’ senior vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer.

During her career at Supervalu, Stroeing has worked in various information technology positions including vice president, business intelligence and marketing; vice president, merchandising transformation; vice president, corporate and supply chain; and vice president, corporate systems.
