Situated at Lake Street and 26th Avenue in Minneapolis, the reconstructed Cub Foods store had been closed since late May because of heavy damage from civil unrest in the city following the death of George Floyd.
Services such as online grocery pickup and delivery accompany a bigger product selection at the store.
The Lake Street Cub store reopened on Feb. 10, after being shut for eight months during the rebuild.
Among the store’s upgrades are enlarged sections for frozen and refrigerated foods.
To provide groceries to the community during reconstruction, the grocer erected the Cub Community Market, a 13,0000-square-foot temporary store in the parking lot.
Amenities at the rebuilt store include an enhanced checkout area, a pharmacy with delivery service, more foodservice options and a dollar-store department.
Customers also will find a wider grocery assortment at the new Lake Street store.
