Since opening its first Amazon Go (above) to the public in 2018, Amazon now has 26 of the cashierless convenience stores, including a new, larger-format 6,150-square-foot location in Mill Creek, Wash.
The new suburban format Mill Creek Amazon Go store, opened April 26, features a new Made-to-Order kitchen, which offers about 30 fresh-made breakfast and lunch items all day.
Amazon Go stores are known for Just Walk Out technology, which allows shoppers to skip the checkout line. They enter the store by scanning a code in the Amazon app or have their palm signature scanned on the Amazon One device.
Amazon noted that the new Go format brings an expanded array of grab-and-go foods and beverages.
Customers place their Made-to-Order breakfast and lunch orders via a touchscreen kiosk.
Amazon Go stores serve up an assortment of national and local brands along with Amazon own brands.
Along with more to-go foods and drinks, the Mill Creek store houses a broader selection of beer and wine.
Made-To-Order options include breakfast bowls and sandwiches, burritos, hot and cold deli sandwiches, salads and wraps.
Among the specialty beverage choices are Starbucks fresh-brewed coffee and espresso and on-tap beverages such as RISE Nitro cold brew coffee, Health-Ade kombuchas and ICEE Slushies.
Services available to Mill Creek Go shoppers include Amazon.com Packageless Returns, free Volta electric vehicle charging stations, Blue Rhino Propane and Amazon gift cards.
The Mill Creek Go store also offers self-serve Pinkberry Fro-yo with a variety of toppings, the first time that the Pinkberry flavor is available in Washington state.
