PHOENIX -- Smitty's Appoints VP, Financial Chief -- Smitty's Super Valu here has named John T. Standley vice president and chief financial officer, a new position. He reports to David Green, president and chief operating officer. He is responsible for all financial and MIS functions. Before joining Smitty's, Standley was vice president of finance at Food 4 Less Supermarkets, La Habra, Calif., another division of Yucaipa Cos., Los Angeles.
Albertson's Names Division VP BOISE, Idaho -- Robert Butler has been appointed vice president of the Rocky Mountain division of Albertson's here. He continues to perform the duties of his previous position, that of division manager, and also becomes a company officer.
Working out of Aurora, Colo., Butler reports to Ron Walk, senior vice president and regional manager, who is based at company headquarters.
Butler has been with the company since 1972.
New VP Post Filled
By Pathmark Stores WOODBRIDGE, N.J. -- Pathmark Stores here named Charles "Bud" Green to the new position of vice president of store construction and purchasing.
He reports to senior vice president of administration Robert Joyce.
Green has been with Pathmark since 1967. He most recently was director of store construction and purchasing.
Pathmark also recently named Jerry Campbell vice president of labor relations, a position that had been vacant for over a year.
Campbell also reports to Joyce. He has been with the company since 1987 as director of labor relations.
D'Agostino VP Adds Duties LARCHMONT, N.Y. -- Walter D'Agostino, vice president at D'Agostino Supermarkets here, has picked up responsibilities for leading sales and merchandising efforts for the chain. He assumes duties formerly held by a cousin, I. Stephen D'Agostino, vice president of sales and merchandising, who resigned in mid November. Walter D'Agostino, whose title will not change, now reports to Ron Nevers, president. Walter D'Agostino is the son of Nicholas D'Agostino Jr., the company's chairman and chief executive officer.
VP Appointed at Bozzuto's CHESHIRE, Conn. -- Bozzuto's here has named Jim Dorcy vice president of advertising and marketing, a new post. He reports to Tom Zatina, executive vice president and chief operating officer.
Dorcy has been with Bozzuto's since 1992 and most recently was director of advertising. Bozzuto's also named Chuck Gardinier director of cost management. He also reports to Zatina.
Gardinier, who has been with Bozzuto's since 1984, was director of planning. Although he retains his former responsibilities, his job has been refocused to devote more attention to activity-based costing, Bozzuto's told SN.
Frank Herchenroder has been named director of procurement and merchandising, a new position. He reports to Joel Sebastian, vice president of merchandising.
Herchenroder, who joined Bozzuto's in 1992, most recently was director of project implementation. That position has not yet been filled.
