Western Beef, Ridgewood, N.Y., last week said sales rose 8.6% to $85.2 million in the third quarter and 13.5% to $248.7 million in the 39 weeks ended Sept. 27. Same-store sales were up 4% and 1.6%, respectively. Net income rose 11.9% to $1.52 million in the quarter and 30% to $4.3 million in the nine months.
