COMPTON, Calif. -- Ralphs Grocery Co. here said Lee Mueller has retired, effective last Friday, from his position as senior vice president of store operations for the 265-unit Ralphs conventional-store division.

Dave Hirz succeeds Hansen with the title of group vice president of store operations for the Food 4 Less division. He reports to Harold McIntire, president of the 60-unit Food 4 Less division.
Hirz was director of store operations, administration, for Food 4 Less. Succeeding him is Jay Cummins, formerly a district grocery specialist, who reports to Hirz.
