NEWARK, Del. -- The Produce Marketing Association here has launched a Virtual Trade Show from the association's Internet home page, designed as a preview to the trade show portion of the PMA's 1997 convention, scheduled for October in Anaheim.

ow, exhibitors can increase booth traffic through giveaway offers or coupons in their digital advertisements; receive worldwide product exposure for a year; use the reader-response technology vehicle to generate new sales leads, and expand their target audiences.

Three different participation levels are available. Level-one participants receive two pages of full-color pre-existing advertisements and/or product information. Any exhibitors in the level-two category receive six pages, and level-three participants get 10 pages, including up to two minutes of digital video.

In addition to the web site, a CD-ROM version of the Virtual Trade Show will be mailed to all 1997 PMA Convention and Exposition registrants one month prior to the event.
