LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. -- The Uniform Code Council will hold its annual Electronic Commerce Users Conference May 24-26 in Scottsdale, Arizona. The event will bring together leading executives, consultants, service providers and technology experts representing all facets of electronic commerce. The focus will be on how companies can use the latest strategies, technologies and logistics to effectively implement and manage their electronic commerce efforts.

According to Steve Arens, director, food and beverage, Uniform Code Council, this year's conference was designed to address the most critical questions on the minds of member companies and industry associations in the food and beverage sectors.

"What is UCCnet? What role will the internet play in EDI? What is XML and what does it mean for me? This conference will help attendees evaluate and understand these opportunities. We want attendees to receive the information their company needs to make informed decisions regarding their strategies and direction for business-to-business electronic commerce," said Arens.

The conference will feature over 40 educational sessions spanning the spectrum from electronic commerce essentials to in-depth analysis of the latest trends and technologies. Attendees will hear from leading industry experts in the retailing, manufacturing, and technology industries.

Conference highlights will include five sessions on UCCnet, the UCC's highly anticipated electronic trading community, as well as sessions on the role of Electronic Data Interchange over the internet.

Persons interested in attending can call 1-800-875-0097 or register on-line at www.uc-council.org.
