NEW YORK — Red Apple, a supermarket-convenience store chain and fuel distributor based here, has selected a data warehouse appliance and related services from Teradata, Dayton, Ohio, to deliver business intelligence.

The data warehouse appliance is designed to provide detailed information for business-critical reporting and decision making. The infrastructure deployment will involve consolidating data from multiple sources across the organization into one integrated, centralized data warehouse.

"This will accelerate enterprise intelligence to our system users – and has already proven its power to increase performance for us. Query performance in particular has dramatically improved."
