Schnuck Markets eliminated 52 positions at its headquarters in St. Louis on Wednesday, the company told SN in a prepared statement.
The layoffs spanned different departments and position levels, the company said.
“This represents less than one-half of one percent (0.5%) of Schnucks' overall workforce,” the company said.
Schnucks will also not fill eight open positions at the headquarters. The layoffs did not extend to positions at Schnucks Market stores.
Schnucks did not provide information on the reason behind the layoffs.
