President Retires At A&P Subsidiary
well, president of A&P's Super Market Service Corp. nonfood subsidiary here, has retired after 22 years of service with the firm. Stillwell's duties have been absorbed by Eugene Lear, executive vice president, according to Michael Rourke, vice president for communications and public affairs.
Stillwell presently serves on the executive committee of the General Merchandise Distributors Council, Colorado Springs, Colo., as vice chairman of the board. He is slated to serve as the association's chairman of the board in 1998.
Sundown Names Palin, Frabitore
BOCA RATON, Fla. -- Leading vitamin and supplement manufacturer Rexall Sundown here has announced the appointments of Nickolas Palin and Stephen Frabitore as president and senior vice president/general manager, respectively, of the company's Sundown division. Palin was vice president of Sundown and is a corporate officer and member of the board of directors. Frabitore was Sundown's vice president of sales.
McKesson Health Appoints VPs
SAN FRANCISCO -- Stephen Stuber has been appointed senior vice president of national accounts at McKesson Health Systems, a division of McKesson Corp. here. Stuber comes to McKesson from the Faulding Pharmaceutical Co., Elizabeth, N.J., where he was vice president of sales. He reports to John Hammergren, president.
McKesson has also named Daniel Skalecki vice president of national accounts. Most recently, Skalecki was vice president of corporate sales at Gensia Laboratories, Irvine, Calif.
McKesson is the largest health care supply managment company in North America.
H.D. Smith Taps Operating Chief
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. -- Henry Dale Smith Jr., president of H.D. Smith Wholesale Drug Co. here, has announced the appointment of his son Christopher Smith, formerly vice president and administration manager, to the position of executive vice president and chief operating officer.
Hoechst Names Region President
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Drug manufacturer Hoechst Marion Roussel here has named Gerald Belle president of the company's North American region.
Belle, most recently president of Hoechst's Canadian division, takes over responsibility for North America from Peter Ladell, who remains chief operating officer.
