Corona Presents $75,000 Check to the V Foundation for Cancer Research

As part of its on-going partnership with The V Foundation, Crown Imports presented a check for $75,000 to help the organization raise funds for cancer research and related programs. Corona Extra is the presenting sponsor of V Week on ESPN, which includes the Jimmy V Classic on ESPN and ESPN2. The check presentation, which took place during V Week, included Nick Valvano, chief executive officer of The V Foundation; Bill Hackett, president of Crown Imports, Corona’s exclusive U.S. importer; Gregg Christiansen, president of Columbia Distributing Co. (Oregon and Washington) and chairman of the Crown Wholesaler Council; and Bob Valvano, host of The V Show on ESPN. Since its inception in 1993, The V Foundation, inspired by legendary North Carolina State basketball coach Jimmy Valvano and ESPN, has raised more than $120 million for cancer research and awarded 450-plus cancer research grants nationwide.
