DNX Foods, introduced a new product line of DNX bars -- high-protein, nutrient-rich gourmet meat snacks -- that contain wholesome, organic ingredients.

Made with 100 percent-clean ingredients and without preservatives, the bars are packed with protein and boast organic, sought-after ingredients like almond butter, dried tart cherries, sweet potatoes, coconut oil and ghee. DNX Bars are a clean food combination offering with very low sodium and sugar.

“Our team has identified an opportunity in the nutritional bar industry after a years-long struggle searching for a portable snack that is healthy and pleases the palate,” says John Rooney, founder and CEO of DNX Foods. “When looking to adopt a healthy lifestyle, it’s often challenging for people to cut through all of the nutritional misinformation and misleading ingredient labels out there. So, we decided to take matters into our own hands and create a bar that is up-front about every ingredient, tastes great and is also good for you.”

Support for the DNX products has already begun with The New York Times best-selling author and co-founder of The Whole30 Program, Melissa Hartwig, joining the DNX team as a member of the advisory board.

“I’m always on the lookout for nutrient-dense on-the-go foods for my followers,” says Hartwig. “When I met John, learned about his mission, and tested the DNX bars during my own travels and hiking trips, I knew this was something I wanted to be a part of. The bars are delicious, and their responsibly-sourced protein, low sugar content, and healthy balance of nutrients makes them the perfect choice for life after your Whole30.”

Nationally-ranked CrossFit athlete, Tommy Vinas, is also a DNX believer as he refuels with DNX bars throughout the day. Vinas will proudly represent DNX at the upcoming Granite Games in St. Cloud, Minn. September 9-11.

DNX bars are currently available in five different recipes: Dark Chocolate Cherry Coconut, Sweet Potato Pecan, Mexican Spice, Sweet Potato Fennel and Jamaican Style Spice. At around $3.00 per bar, DNX bars can be purchased on Amazon and at select, natural grocery co-op stores along the West coast, and at select Hy-Vee stores in the Midwest. Further expansion into additional natural grocery stores is expected soon.
