Schwan’s Consumer Brands, Inc. has introduced a line of Freschetta Artisan Crust Pizzas to give pizza lovers a whole grain pizza option in the freezer aisle. Shoppers can enjoy a product with toppings, a sauce made with three sun-ripened tomatoes, and 100 percent real provolone and mozzarella cheeses, on a preservative-free whole grain crust that rises in their own ovens.

The Freschetta pizzas—available nationwide—are offered in four varieties including Four Cheese, Pepperoni, Margherita and Chicken & Fire Roasted Vegetable. All feature a 51 percent multigrain crust made with a unique blend of three delicious whole grains—whole wheat, brown rice and oat flour—kneaded into the dough for a slightly sweet, hearty texture and 21 grams of whole-grain goodness per serving.

Freschetta Artisan Crust Pizza delivers on the growing desire for foods made with whole grains. “With this new Freschetta Artisan Crust Pizza, we’ve combined the wholesomeness that today’s consumers want with a mix of traditional and more unique ingredients that offer a whole new flavor level,” says Sishir Sekaran, Freschetta brand manager. “This is artisan pizza in every sense of the word.”

Freschetta Artisan Crust Pizza is found in the freezer aisle at grocery stores nationwide at a suggested retail price of $7.49.
