Keurig Green Mountain, Inc., a leader in specialty coffee, coffee makers, teas and other beverages with its innovative brewing technology, has launched Green Mountain Coffee Organic—a new line of premium coffees that are both organic and Fair Trade Certified. This launch marks the first collection of a double certified line of Green Mountain Coffee ever available for the Keurig hot brewing system. With this new Organic line, Green Mountain Coffee has also unveiled a new look, including new branding and a refreshed logo and packaging. The four varieties at launch include three single origin coffees—Ethiopia Yirgacheffe, Peru Cajamarca, Sumatra Aceh—and one artfully crafted blend, Founder’s Blend. “All purchases of our new Green Mountain Coffee Organic line helps support the coffee growing communities we work with through a variety of social, environmental and economic initiatives,” says Lindsey Bolger, senior vice president coffee sourcing and relationships. “We are so proud to share these four exceptional organic and fair trade varieties with our consumers.” Ethiopia Yirgacheffe is grown in an area that Keurig has actively sourced from for over a decade, this single origin light roast coffee has a sweet, floral aroma and delicate hints of spice, and clear notes of citrus and ginger. Peru Cajamarca medium roast single-origin coffee is smooth with a caramel sweetness and bright pops of green apple with a cocoa finish. Sumatra Aceh is from the northern Sumatran province of Aceh where growing coffee organically is part of the region’s heritage, and the single origin dark roast, full-bodied coffee has notes of dark chocolate and fresh fig, and a pleasant, lingering finish. Founder’s Blend features notes of floral citrus, crisp apples, and sweet caramel. The medium roast coffee embodies the bright and welcoming spirit of the birthplace of Green Mountain Coffee - Vermont. Green Mountain Coffee Organic coffees are available in 10- and 16-count boxes of K-Cup pods for $9.49 and $11.49 SRP, respectively. Green Mountain Coffee Organic K-Cup pods are now available on Keurig.com, and will expand to retail starting in July.
