Herr Foods Introduces Pub Style Sourdough Pretzel Thins

Herr Foods Inc. has launched Herr's Pub Style Sourdough Pretzel Thins, combining consumers' love for the hearty crunch of sourdough and the classic thin braided pretzel into one snack.

Ingrained in the company's German history, Herr's one-of-a-kind family pretzel recipe is made with wholesome ingredients and generous amounts of naturally aged sourdough. Company officials say the result is a specially crafted pub style pretzel with extra flavor and extra crunch that is great for snacking at home or on-the-go and great when dipped in mustard or cheese sauce.

"The thin pretzel has long been America's favorite and we set out to capture that experience, but with a new twist," says Ed Herr, president of Herr Foods Inc., based in Nottingham, Pa. "Now consumers are able to enjoy everything they love about a thin pretzel, with a hard sourdough pretzel crunch."

The name for the "Pub Style" thins was inspired by the timeless heritage of pubs as a place to gather with family and friends to enjoy the locally crafted food and fare.

Herr's Pub Style Sourdough Pretzel Thins are available at select stores nationwide and retail for $3.69 for a 12-ounce bag and $1.49 for a 3.75-ounce bag.
