Nature's Path Expands Qi’a Family
January 1, 2018
It has been one year since Nature’s Path Qi’a was introduced and created the superseed cereal category. Building on consumer demand for superfoods that supply long lasting energy, the company is introducing hot breakfast cereals with Qi’a superfood blend as a base in three flavors: Superseeds & Grains, Creamy Coconut and Cinnamon Pumpkin Seed. Qi’a Superfood Oatmeal (pronounced “key–ah”) aptly meaning energy, combines nutrient-rich, superfood ingredients chia, hemp and buckwheat with gluten-free rolled oats and delicious seeds and grains to provide a warm, whole grain breakfast that is an excellent source of ALA Omega-3s and a good source of fiber, say company officials. Qi’a Superfood Oatmeal is also loaded with Omega-6s, amino acids, protein and essential vitamins and minerals. It has no added salt, low (1g) or no sugar, and is organic, vegan, gluten-free and non-GMO Project Verified, company officials add. “Nature’s Path transformed the breakfast category with Qi’a and we are excited to help consumers think outside the oatmeal canister with a revolutionary hot cereal made with chia, hemp and buckwheat,” says Arjan Stephens, Nature’s Path executive vice president of sales and marketing. “Our new and delicious oatmeal makes it easy for consumers to boost their nutrition and feel long-lasting energy from this powerful, functional, and nutritious superfood cereal.” Officials from Nature's Path describe the flavors as follows:
Superseeds & Grains: The original flavor, this healthy oatmeal boasts 36 grams of whole grains and adds quinoa, a protein-rich grain cultivated over 5,00 years ago by Andean Indians
Creamy Coconut: This creamy and rich oatmeal has a naturally sweet flavor from coconut, which is known for its nutritious qualities and adds great taste and fiber. It has 27 grams of whole grains
Cinnamon Pumpkin Seed: Lightly spiced and nutty, this warm and comforting cereal, bursting with 31 grams of whole grains, includes crunchy, nutty pumpkin seeds that contain protein, fiber and omega 3s
