Nature's Path Spices Up the Organic Mexican Foods Section

1 Min Read

que pasa chips salsaAfter nearly 30 years of organic leadership, how does Nature’s Path spice up its organic product offerings? By adding a new, Mexican-inspired brand called Que Pasa to the family, then debuting a whole new look and several new products to the organic Mexican foods sector. Nature’s Path acquired the artisan organic brand in 2013 and has now redesigned the packaging and logo to pay homage to the Mexican-inspired, premium artisanal roots while still being playful enough for a fiesta, say company officials. They have also added three new salsas to the existing line of tortilla chips. “We know our consumers are snacking more and more – according to Technomic, more than 50 percent of Americans snack at least twice daily; which is an increase of 48 percent from 2012,” says Arjan Stephens, executive vice president of sales and marketing. “We wanted to fill that need and give consumers a snack option that’s organic, non-GMO, and delicious!” The entire Que Pasa line is USDA certified organic. New to the line are three Que Pasa Organic Salsas, which are made with fresh vine-ripened whole tomatoes, onions, chipotle and jalapeno peppers, garlic, cilantro and other herbs and spices in uniquely authentic Mexican recipes, according to company officials. They are available in Chipotle, Mexicana Medium and Mexicana Mild varieties. The entire Que Pasa line is shipping now to retailers. The Que Pasa Organic Tortilla Chips have an SRP of $4.29 and the Que Pasa Organic Salsas have an SRP of $3.99.
