Oregon Fruit Products LLC has introduced two new products demonstrating new ways that consumers can add delicious and healthy fruit to their diets.

Cherries have been a beloved product from Oregon Fruit Products since the late 1930s when the company started canning fresh fruit. For the first time in the history of the 80-year old company, Oregon Fruit Products Red Tart Cherries are now available packed in cherry juice and in glass jars.

Boasting a sweet and sour flavor, canned red tart cherries have long been packed in water, as is the industry standard, and a favorite ingredient of pie bakers. But many consumers have been drawn to both the fruit and juice lately for its healthful anthocyanins, deep-colored pigments that are responsible for the cherry’s deep red color, and a multitude of anti-inflammatory benefits—from decreasing muscle soreness, to combating gout, to helping with insomnia, company officials say.

The cherries and juice can be enjoyed straight from the jar, or as an ingredient to any dish or drink. They can be added to oatmeal or yogurt, add refreshing fruit flavor to cocktails and salads, or used in a smoothie. Customers can enjoy the cherries in a multitude of ways and whenever they want, now made easier by a jarred container that stores directly in the fridge.

Oregon Fruit’s Red Tart Cherries are exclusively sourced from a select group of Oregon growers. The non-GMO cherries come pitted and contain no added sugar. Red Tart Cherries are now available in 13-ounce. jars and retail for suggested retail price of $5.99.

Oregon Fruit has introduced Pourable Fruit, a new diced fruit sauce that enhances any dish or drink with farm-fresh fruit flavor. Available in strawberry, raspberry and blueberry, Pourable Fruit adds real fruit sweetness, aroma and texture to smoothies, waffles, desserts, ice cream, yogurt, cocktails, non-alcoholic drinks and more.

Pourable Fruit is made by hand-selecting fresh fruit picked at the peak of ripeness from farms around Oregon and the U.S. It is manufactured using a cold process to maintain the vivid flavor and color of the fruit and lightly sweetened with cane sugar to enhance the fruits’ natural sugars. It contains no high fructose corn syrup and has less sugar per serving than fruit syrup or jam. Using Pourable Fruit is easy: simply purchase it frozen, defrost it in the refrigerator and use it within 14 days.

Pourable Fruit is manufactured exclusively in the U.S. and contains nothing artificial. It is certified Kosher, gluten-free and is non-GMO. Pourable Fruit is available in 18-ounce bottles retails for a suggested retail price of $7.99.
