Tastykake Launches Limited Time Spring Flavors

With spring just around the corner, Flowers Foods' Tastykake division has introduced five limited edition new products.

Two new donut varieties are hitting the shelves. Tastykake Peach Cobbler Mini Donuts are reminiscent of a Southern peach cobbler with their peach flavored donut cake covered in a sweet cobbler crumble. Strawberry Mini Donuts feature a strawberry flavored donut with a traditional powdered sugar coating. Both are shipped 12 bags per case and have a suggested retail of $2.99. Peach Mini Cobbler Donuts are available in 11.5-ounce bags, while Strawberry Mini Donuts are available in 10-ounce bags.

Retailers should consider merchandising their single-serve versions at the checkout lanes. Tastykake Peach Cobbler Mini Donuts are available in 3.4-ounce six-count single packs, while Strawberry Mini Donuts are available in 3.0-ounce six-count packs. Both ship 72 packages per case and have a suggested retail price of $1.79.

Tastykake's new Cherry Sweet Rolls feature an iced sweet roll filled with a cherry filling. They are available in 14.4-ounce boxes with six rolls per box, packaged 16 packages per case. The suggested retail price is $2.99.

Tastykake is bringing back its sweet Lemon and Strawberry Kandy Kakes. Lemon Kandy Kakes feature a white coated vanilla sponge cake with a lemon creme filling, while Strawberry Kandy Kakes are white coated vanilla sponge cake with strawberry filling. Both are available in 8-ounce, six-count boxes with 18 boxes per case, and a suggested retail price of $4.49. The Lemon Kandy Kakes are also available in 2-ounce, three -count single serve packs with a suggested retail price of $1.79, packed 72 per case.

All items are available to retailers now through May 21.
