In addition to its namesake soups, Camden, N.J.-based Campbell Soup Co. is the maker of Pepperidge Farm, Bolthouse Farms, Arnott’s, V8, Swanson, Pace, Prego and several other brands of snack and food products. It is purchasing Snyder's-Lance for $50 per share in an all-cash transaction. The Hershey Co. will acquire Amplify Snack Brands for $12 per share in cash. Austin, Texas-based Amplify Snack Brands makes and markets snack brands such as Skinny Pop, Paqui chips, Oatmega healthy snack bars and Tyrrell's potato chips. The Hershey Co., Hershey, Pa., makes chocolate, sweets, mints and other snacks under brand names such as Hershey's, Reese's, Hershey's Kisses, Jolly Rancher, Ice Breakers and Brookside.
