SUNBURY, Pa. — Weis Markets has announced the launch of Market Street, a new line of sliced deli meats that offer its customers “artisanal quality at an affordable price,” according to a company release.

Currently, the new line includes oven-roasted turkey, hickory-smoked turkey, oven-roasted chicken breast, Virginia ham, honey ham, and roast beef, corned beef, Italian beef and pastrami all made from premium Angus beef. The product line is expected to double during the next 12 months, and will eventually include cheeses, dips and spreads. All Market Street products are trans fat-, gluten- and MSG-free.

“We considered more than 40 different options before settling on our new Market Street line, Geoffrey Wexler, Weis Market’s director of deli and prepared foods, said in the company announcment. “Our goal is to offer meats and cheeses that are carefully made with an unrivaled attention to detail and quality that meets our requirements — and most importantly the expectations of our customers who are looking for excellent quality at a sharp price. Market Street does both.”
