“Bob is a welcome addition to the Buehler team,” stated Shanahan. “His extensive experience and knowledge of retail grocery operations made him a natural fit for this position.”

Bly brings 30 years of retail experience, including executive, management, and operational execution with such retailers as Supervalu, Meijer Inc. and Sears. He has significant experience in helping companies streamline operations while ensuring that team members are engaged in the business, Beuhler's said.

Bly served as president of Supervalu’s Farm Fresh banner in 2012 and 2013. Prior to that, he was a VP at Sears, held positions with the convenience chain Road Ranger, and spent 22 years with Meijer, the Grand Rapids, Mich.-based grocery and general merchandise chain where he held executive and store-level roles.

Bly is relocating from Jacksonville, Fla. to Wooster, Ohio where Buehler’s and its parent company, E&H Family Group, are located.
