Niemann Foods names VP of human resources

Jodie Felter also serves as corporate secretary for Midwest grocer

Jodie-Felter-Niemann-Foods.pngJodie Felter, currently serving as corporate secretary on the Niemann Foods board of directors, has been promoted to vice president of human resources.

Felter has been with the Midwest grocer for almost 25 years and has assisted in the company’s growth from 20 stores and under 1,000 associates to  over 100 stores with approximately  5,500 associates. In her role, she has assisted through the seamless transition of supermarket acquisitions and their associates to the Niemann Foods family. She is actively involved with the National Grocers Association (NGA) HR share group  and serves on the boards of the NGA Foundation and the Women in Grocery Association. 

 “Through her many years of service,  Jodie has  committed  herself to  ensure that NFI — and the independent supermarket retail industry  as a whole, continues to offer a great place to work  and the opportunity to build an exciting  career,” said Rich Niemann, CEO. 

Niemann Foods was founded in 1917 and is based in Quincy, Ill., operating over 100 retail stores in Illinois, Missouri, Iowa and Indiana. Primary retail banners include County Market, Save A Lot & Harvest Market.
