Weis Markets promotes directors in center store
Veteran category managers Brian Bosworth and Ashely Odom direct regional chain’s core grocery merchandising

Brian Bosworth has been promoted to senior director of center store merchandising and sales and Ashley Odom to director of center store merchandising at Weis Markets.
Sunbury, Pa.-based Weis said Thursday that, in the new role, Bosworth (left) will oversee dry grocery, general merchandise, health and beauty care, frozen food, dairy and alcoholic beverages (beer, wine and spirits), as well as and center store field merchandising. He reports to Richard Gunn, senior vice president of merchandising and sales.
Most recently, Bosworth was director of center store merchandising. He joined Weis in 2011 as a category manager and was appointed as sales manager in 2013. In 2014, he was named director of center store merchandising. Before coming to Weis, he held category manager and sales manager roles at A&P and Pathmark, respectively.
With Bosworth’s promotion, Odom (right) takes over as director of center store merchandising. She previously served as director of adult beverages, dairy and frozen. She joined Weis in late 2018 as senior category manager for adult beverages after serving in various category manager positions at Supervalu and Albertsons. She reports to Bosworth.
Weis also recently had hired a director of produce, in late December naming Kevin Weaver to the role. He joined the company from Southeastern Grocers, where he was director of produce and floral. In the position, Weaver oversees Weis’ day-to-day produce merchandising, pricing and procurement.
Overall, Weis Markets operates 198 stores in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, New York West Virginia and Virginia.
